Malapit na ang May…at malapit na ang submission of requirements… palapit ng palapit ang araw na yon at pinapatay na ako ng kaba…bago matulog at pagkagising na pagkagising ko sa umaga…agad kong tinitignan ang report card ko na laging nasa side table…as if may milagrong mangyayari na makapagbabago pa ng mga letrang naka-print na… pati nga sa pagtulog ko ay napapanaginipan ko ang report card…minsan pa nga ay kina-calculate ko pa…

Kung ako ang tatanungin…ikinakahiya ko ang report card na to…isang taon na paghihirap na nagtatapos lang o sina-summarize lang ng mga letra… “ang sakit!” parati kong sinasabi sa mga kamag-anak at kaibigan na may concern sa akin at mahilig mangamusta ng grades…ayokong sirain ang expectations nila sa akin…mas lalo naman na ayaw kong magsinungaling para lang masabi na ako parin ay magaling…

Natatakot na nga ako…nababawasan na ako ng pagkakataon…ang baba ng grades ko…wala akong maski isang achievement ngayun 3rd year…napabayaan ko na ang lahat ng clubs ko…ang laki pa naman ng bills ngayun dahil mainit at nandito pa si lola…tanging grades ko lang at ang recommendation ang inaasahan ko pero pati ung report card ko parang makakasira pa…

Minsan… umaasa nalang ako sa pag-asa

Minsan…naiisip ko na wala na akong pag-asa… pero kailangan ko paring umasa na may pagkakataon pa ako…kailangan kong umasa na maganda ang kahahantungan ng lahat ng ito…kahit pa walang kasiguraduhan…

Ang sakit…gusto kong umasa… pero ayaw kong mabigo
